15+ Years Organisation: Leading MNC | Global Capability Centre (GCC) We are hiring an accomplished Technical Manager for the Chennai GCC operations of one of our leading multinational clients. We are looking for a technically solid, hands-on engineering leader with deep expertise in Python, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and/or AI/ML, who has progressed from a development background into technical and people leadership. This is not a purely managerial role. The ideal candidate must be comfortable getting into the technical details, reviewing code, designing solutions, resolving complex engineering challenges, and mentoring high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of Data Engineers, Python Developers, Data Scientists and Technical Leads.
- Drive end-to-end design, development, architecture and delivery of scalable data and technology solutions.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in Python development, engineering best practices and solution architecture.
- Lead data engineering initiatives involving ETL/ELT pipelines, data processing, data modelling and cloud-based platforms.
- Guide the development and deployment of advanced analytics, machine learning and AI-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders, architects and business leaders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive technical innovation, performance optimisation, automation and continuous engineering improvements.
- Take ownership of technical delivery, solution quality and complex production escalations.



Technical Expertise Core Requirements ✅ Strong hands-on experience in Python programming and development . ✅ Solid experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Science or Machine Learning Engineering. ✅ Strong understanding of SQL, data modelling, ETL pipelines and data processing frameworks. ✅ Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. ✅ Ability to design scalable technical solutions and guide engineering teams through complex implementations. ✅ Experience managing and mentoring senior engineers, developers or architects.
