Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
- Build secure and scalable REST APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Design modular application architecture and refactor existing codebases with minimal production disruption.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases, including data modelling, query optimisation, indexing, and safe database migrations.
- Develop and manage background jobs using Celery and Redis, including retries, concurrency, and error handling.
- Integrate third-party systems through REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, callbacks, and database connections.
- Implement automated testing, code reviews,



and CI checks to maintain code quality.
- Manage deployments, monitor application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and identify root causes.
- Prepare implementation plans, track development progress, and ensure reliable delivery of technical solutions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly, reviewing and validating generated code before deployment. Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Python, including at least 2 years working with Django in production.
- Strong knowledge of Django ORM, Django REST Framework, JWT authentication, permissions, and API security.
- Good understanding of system design, modular architecture, data consistency, concurrency, and error handling.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Celery, Redis, Docker, Docker Compose, and Linux.
