Senior Manager FP&A;

Location: Chennai

Reporting To: Head of FP&A;

Role Purpose -

The Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;) will play a strategic role in driving financial planning, business performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-support across the organization. The role will partner closely with business leaders, plant finance teams, and corporate leadership to provide actionable financial insights, strengthen governance, support strategic initiatives, and improve overall business profitability and operational efficiency. The incumbent will be responsible for financial modelling, management reporting, business analytics, capital planning, strategic projects, and supporting leadership in long-term value creation initiatives including business expansion, cost optimization, and investment evaluation.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting -

• Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes across businesses and functions.

• Develop robust financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.

• Monitor budget utilization, analyze variances, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

• Drive rolling forecasts and predictive analytics for revenue, margins, working capital, and cash flow management.

• Establish and track financial and operational KPIs across plants, business units, and corporate functions.

2. Management Reporting & Business Analytics-

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for senior management, Board, and investors.

• Provide detailed analysis on profitability, product margins, cost structures, and business performance.





• Analyze trends related to production costs, procurement, inventory, logistics, and operational efficiencies.

• Support leadership with business performance dashboards and data-driven insights.

• Improve reporting automation, data accuracy, and analytical capabilities using digital tools and ERP systems.

3. Strategic Finance & Business Partnering-

• Partner with business heads and functional leaders to evaluate business performance and strategic opportunities.

• Support strategic initiatives including capacity expansion, new projects, diversification, and operational transformation.

• Conduct feasibility studies, investment analysis, and financial evaluation of strategic projects.

• Drive cost optimization initiatives through financial analysis and business performance reviews.

• Provide commercial and financial insights to improve operational and strategic decision-making.

4. Digital Finance & Process Improvement-

• Drive automation and digitalization initiatives in reporting, forecasting, and financial analytics.

• Collaborate with IT and ERP teams to improve finance systems, dashboards, and data management practices.

• Enhance reporting efficiency and standardization across business units and locations.

Qualifications & Experience :

Education-

• Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA / MBA Finance from a reputed institution.

• Additional certification in Financial Modelling, Business Analytics, or CFA will be an added advantage.

Experience -

• 10-12 years of relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, Business Finance, or Strategic Finance roles.

• Experience in manufacturing, specialty chemicals, industrial, or process industry preferred.

• Exposure to multi-location business operations and corporate reporting environments preferred.

Technical Skills -

• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, MIS, and financial modelling.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, ERP systems, and financial analytics tools.

• Strong understanding of financial statements, costing, and business performance metrics.

• Knowledge of capital budgeting, valuation techniques, and business case analysis.

• Understanding of Indian accounting standards, financial regulations, and governance practices.
