Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced SI/PI Engineer to design, verify and optimize high-speed board layouts for automotive electronics. You will own pre-layout and post-layout simulations, PDN analysis and design recommendations, working closely with Hardware and ECAD teams to ensure interface compliance and clean power delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform channel modeling, extraction and eye analysis for high-speed interfaces.
- Conduct pre-layout and post-layout SI simulations to ensure compliance with interface standards.
- Analyze crosstalk, reflections, jitter, insertion loss, return loss and TDR.
- Model and analyze the board PDN and provide optimization recommendations.
- Perform AC/DC droop analysis and target impedance profiling to ensure clean power delivery to high-current ASICs, SoCs and FPGAs.
- Perform board-level timing analysis for memory and serial interfaces.
- Collaborate with Hardware and ECAD teams to optimize SI and PI performance.
- Provide design guidelines that balance SI and PI constraints.
- Generate technical reports and design recommendations based on simulation results.





Required Skills (Primary)
- Strong understanding of SI and PI concepts for high-speed serial and memory interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with Ansys HFSS, Ansys SIwave and Siemens HyperLynx (2D and 3D).
- Familiarity with JEDEC, LPDDR4/LPDDR5, PCIe Gen4/Gen5, GMSL, FPD-Link, MIPI-CSI, USB, Ethernet and other automotive standards.
- Ability to perform board-level timing analysis using simulation tools.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills (Secondary)
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer and other ECAD tools.
- Basic knowledge of EM/compliance-based simulation and analysis.
- Experience writing SI/PI design guidelines and simulation reports.

Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in SI/PI, preferably in automotive (ADAS, infotainment, cockpit or camera systems).
