A. Project Operations & Execution

- Lead the overall Collection & Transport project operations at Gurugram, ensuring seamless execution of waste collection, transportation, and disposal activities.
- Ensure adherence to project scope, contractual obligations, operational plans, and service delivery commitments.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and service quality.
- Monitor daily operations, route planning, vehicle deployment, collection schedules, and transportation activities.
- Ensure timely collection and transportation of municipal solid waste from designated locations to processing or disposal facilities.
- Establish operational systems, SOPs, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure consistent project performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in waste collection and transport operations.

B. Fleet & Equipment Management

- Oversee fleet operations, including deployment, utilization, maintenance, and availability of vehicles and equipment.
- Ensure optimum utilization of collection vehicles, compactors, tippers, loaders, and other project equipment.
- Monitor vehicle breakdowns, preventive maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and repair costs.
- Implement GPS-based vehicle tracking, RFID systems, route optimization, and Command Control Center monitoring.
- Ensure fleet availability and minimize operational downtime.
- Drive fuel efficiency and cost optimization initiatives.

C. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Manage relationships with municipal authorities, government agencies, client representatives, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure regular coordination with municipal corporations and relevant local authorities for smooth project execution.
- Address client concerns, operational escalations, and service delivery issues effectively.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and present operational performance reports.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for project-related permissions, inspections, and compliance requirements.

D. Financial & Commercial Management

- Take ownership of project financial performance, including revenue, operating costs, profitability, and budget adherence.




- Prepare and monitor annual operating budgets, cost estimates, and project financial forecasts.
- Control operational expenses related to manpower, fuel, maintenance, consumables, and subcontractors.
- Monitor billing, invoicing, measurement records, and client payment follow-ups.
- Ensure accurate documentation for contractual claims, deductions, penalties, and performance-linked payments.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiencies without compromising service quality.

E. Manpower & Team Management

- Lead and manage project-level teams, including operations managers, fleet managers, supervisors, drivers, sanitation workers, and support staff.
- Ensure adequate manpower availability and deployment as per operational requirements.
- Develop workforce planning, shift schedules, attendance monitoring, and productivity tracking systems.
- Drive employee discipline, performance management, and capability development.
- Ensure effective coordination among Operations, HR, EHS, SCM, Finance, and Maintenance teams.
- Build a high-performance culture with transparent accountability and operational ownership.

F. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement safety procedures for waste collection, vehicle operations, transportation, and workforce handling.
- Ensure regular safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for drivers and sanitation workers.
- Monitor and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
- Ensure proper PPE usage and adherence to safety protocols.
- Drive initiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable waste management practices.

G. Compliance & Contract Management

- Ensure compliance with applicable municipal solid waste management rules, labour laws, environmental regulations, and contractual obligations.




- Monitor project KPIs, SLAs, penalties, and performance parameters.
- Maintain operational records, statutory documentation, vehicle permits, insurance, fitness certificates, and other mandatory records.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour and contractor management requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external audit teams and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

H. MIS, Reporting & Performance Monitoring

- Establish and maintain robust operational MIS and reporting systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators relating to:

- Waste collection and transportation volumes.
- Vehicle utilization and fleet availability.
- Route adherence and trip completion.
- Fuel consumption and operational costs.
- Manpower productivity and attendance.
- SLA compliance and client satisfaction.
- Safety performance and incident reporting.

- Review daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance.
- Present project performance reports and action plans to senior management.
- Leverage technology, GPS, RFID, and Command Control Center systems for real-time operational monitoring.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent.
- Master's degree in Business Administration / Operations Management / relevant field will be an added advantage.

Experience & Skills Required

- 1520 years of overall experience in operations and project management.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in municipal solid waste management, Collection & Transport operations, urban sanitation, fleet management, or large-scale infrastructure/municipal projects.
- Experience in managing large-scale manpower, fleet, and multi-location operational teams.
- Strong exposure to municipal corporation projects, government contracts, and client management.
- Experience in managing project budgets, profitability, operational costs, and contractual SLAs.
- Knowledge of GPS-based fleet tracking, RFID, route optimization, and Command Control Center operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage operational challenges and drive performance in a high-pressure environment.
