Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager with strong expertise in procurement for defence and heavy manufacturing industries. The role involves managing sourcing activities, vendor development, procurement planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management

- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, components, and engineering parts required for defence and heavy manufacturing projects.
- Ensure timely sourcing of materials to support production schedules and project timelines.

Vendor Development

- Identify, evaluate, and develop current vendors and suppliers for machining, fabrication, casting, forgings, and specialized components.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers.

Cost Management & Negotiation

- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors.
- Achieve cost reduction through strategic sourcing and supplier optimization.

Purchase Planning

- Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality teams to understand material requirements.




- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability.

Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure procurement activities comply with defence industry standards, quality requirements, and company policies.
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation.

Supplier Performance Management

- Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering) or related field.
- MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Materials Management preferred.
