About EventXplora:

EventXplora is an event ticketing and discovery platform for India. People use it to find events, select seats, book tickets, pay online and check in with a QR code. Organizers use it to manage events, venues, coupons, attendees, payments and reports.

About the Role:

You will test the product before each release, report problems clearly, and work directly with developers to get them fixed. This product handles real money and real event-day operations, so careful testing matters here.

What You Will Do

• Write test scenarios and test cases for new features

• Test event discovery, seat selection, OTP login, booking and tickets

• Test payments and refunds in test mode, including failures and retries

• Test QR check-in and badge printing on real devices

• Check email, SMS and WhatsApp messages for the right person and details

• Test access for buyers, organizers, staff and admins

• Test on desktop and mobile browsers

• Report bugs with steps, expected and actual results, and evidence

• Check API responses in DevTools and verify data using SQL

• Run smoke and regression tests for each release

• Read server logs in the test environment to help find the cause of a bug

• Run automated tests and learn to add recent ones





Must-Have Skills (Intern and Entry Level)

• Testing basics: test cases, bug life cycle, severity and priority

• Positive, negative and boundary value testing

• Clear bug reporting

• Chrome DevTools: Console and Network tabs

• HTTP methods, status codes and JSON basics

• Basic SQL: SELECT, WHERE, ORDER BY

• Mobile web testing on real devices or emulators

• Good written and spoken communication

Additional Skills for Entry Level

• Independent test planning and regression testing

• API testing and debugging failed requests

• SQL: JOIN, GROUP BY, finding mismatched data

• Basic Linux commands and reading logs

• Basic Git

• Able to read simple JavaScript or TypeScript

Good to Have

• Postman

• Playwright or other automated testing experience

• Payment gateway testing (PayU or Razorpay)

• PostgreSQL

• AWS basics: EC2, S3, RDS, IAM

• Nginx and PM2 basics

• Experience testing QR scanning or role-based access

• A portfolio of test cases or bug reports

Tools You Will Work With:
