About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented Process Mapping Analyst to support a BSA/AML Audit Remediation Program for a leading financial services engagement.

The candidate will be responsible for translating regulatory requirements, audit findings, and remediation guidelines into detailed process maps, swim-lane diagrams, decision trees, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The role requires hands-on experience in process documentation, compliance workflows, and process improvement, along with a good understanding of banking regulations and AML-related operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Process Mapping & Documentation

- Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps for BSA/AML workflows, including KYC, CDD, EDD, customer risk assessment, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and SAR filing.
- Create detailed swim-lane diagrams to define roles, responsibilities, activities, and process flows.
- Develop decision trees for compliance reviews, alert investigations, escalations, and risk assessment.
- Prepare RACI matrices to establish ownership and accountability across teams.
- Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and operational inefficiencies.
- Maintain accurate, structured, and audit-ready process documentation.

2. SOP & Procedure Development

- Draft and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and desk procedures.
- Translate regulatory requirements and internal policies into transparent operational procedures.
- Maintain policy-to-procedure-to-control mapping.
- Manage document versions, review cycles, approvals, and document inventories.
- Ensure documentation meets compliance and audit requirements.

3. Process Improvement & Six Sigma

- Apply Six Sigma DMAIC methodology to analyse and improve compliance workflows.




- Support root cause analysis of process gaps and control deficiencies.
- Identify opportunities for process standardisation and improvement.
- Track remediation deliverables and ensure timely completion.

4. Stakeholder Coordination

- Coordinate with compliance, operations, and technology teams to gather process information.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions and process review meetings.
- Incorporate feedback from compliance leadership and ensure accurate documentation.
- Maintain an organised repository of process maps, SOPs, and supporting documents.
- Required Skills & Qualifications2–4 years of experience in Process Mapping, Business Analysis, Compliance Operations, or Process Documentation within Banking or Financial Services.
- Hands-on experience creating process maps, swim-lane diagrams, and SOPs.
- Basic understanding of BSA/AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio or similar process mapping tools.
- Good knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and DMAIC.
- Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with GRC platforms such as Archer, MetricStream, or OpenPages.
- Experience with SharePoint or other document management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred QualificationsSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Business Analysis certification (CBAP or equivalent).
- Experience in audit remediation, regulatory compliance, or control testing projects.
- Exposure to US banking compliance frameworks and financial services engagements.
- Experience working with international banking or financial services clients.

Candidates with hands-on BSA/AML process mapping and audit remediation experience will be preferred.
