Part-Time Accountant / Accounts Executive

- Evening: 2 hours

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to manage the daily accounting, customer billing, payment follow-ups, financial reporting and statutory compliance activities of our Bharat Petroleum fuel station in Dharwad.

This is not a full time position. The selected candidate must be available for two separate working sessions daily, with flexibility in the exact timings.

Key Responsibilities

- Tally Accounting: Record daily sales, purchases, bills, payments, receipts and expenses in Tally.
- Customer Billing: Prepare weekly, fortnightly and monthly customer invoices and account statements.
- Payment Follow-ups: Track outstanding balances and follow up with customers for timely collections.
- Daily Reporting: Prepare and share daily sales, collection and financial reports with the owner and designated customers.
- GST Compliance: Maintain GST records and prepare data for periodic GST filings.
- Annual Filing: Organise financial records for annual tax filings and audits.




- PF & ESI: Calculate, prepare and process monthly PF and ESI payments and related documentation.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank transactions, customer ledgers and financial records.
- Record Maintenance: Ensure all books of accounts are accurate, organised and up to date.

Candidate Requirements

- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF and ESI.
- Experience in billing, customer ledger management and payment follow-ups.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Prior petrol pump accounting experience is an added advantage.

Working Arrangement

- Part-time position – minimum 4 hours daily.
- 2 hours in the morning + 2 hours in the evening.
- Availability during both sessions is mandatory.
- Exact timings can be mutually discussed.
- Experienced freelance accountants and accounting professionals are welcome.

Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience and skills.
