Main role: Handling regular food preparation and basic cooking independently.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing gravies, masalas, pastes and basic sauces.
- Handling basic cooking operations.
- Preparing ingredients according to kitchen requirements.
- Assisting in preparing dishes as per recipes.
- Monitoring food quality, taste and consistency.
- Guiding Commis III in basic preparation work.
- Maintaining stock and reporting ingredient shortages.
- Following food safety and hygiene standards.
Required skills: Valuable cooking knowledge, basic recipe understanding, preparation skills and the ability to work independently.
