Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor Social Media / YouTube role based in Aluva. The role involves planning, editing, and producing short-form and long-form video content for YouTube and social media platforms, aligned with brand guidelines and content strategy. Day-to-day tasks include assembling raw footage, adding transitions, effects, and audio, performing basic color correction, and adapting content to different formats and aspect ratios.

The Video

Editor will collaborate with content creators, marketing, and design teams to develop engaging educational and promotional videos, create thumbnails and simple graphics as needed, and ensure timely delivery for scheduled campaigns. The role also includes staying current with social media and YouTube trends, optimizing content for audience engagement, and maintaining an organized media asset library.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for YouTube and social media content.
- Ability to perform Video Color Grading and basic post-production finishing.
- Proficiency in Motion Graphics and Graphics for intros, lower thirds, and thumbnails.
- Experience with industry-standard editing and design tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop or equivalent).
- Understanding of YouTube and social media best practices, including pacing, hooks, and audience engagement.




- Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling ability, and ability to work within brand guidelines.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Relevant education or certification in film, media, design, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in educational or edtech content is an advantage.

What We're Looking For

- 1–4 years of experience in video editing.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- Working knowledge of After Effects is an advantage.
- Understanding of video pacing, storytelling, transitions, and sound design.
- Familiarity with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and digital advertising formats.
- Ability to work with raw footage and turn it into engaging content.
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple projects.
- Organised, reliable, and open to feedback.
