About Role

This role carries end-to-end responsibility for US tax compliance across a growing portfolio of US clients, including return preparation and review, K-1 delivery, and the overall compliance calendar. It also involves setting up the US taxation function from scratch, covering team hiring, process design, and quality standards. The role is a key point of business communication with clients and works closely with them and with senior leadership.

It offers full ownership of delivery and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Own K-1 season – lead K-1 delivery across multiple entities under strict deadlines
- Federal returns – own the preparation and review of Forms 1065 and 1040 with supporting workpapers
- State & local – drive multi-state returns, extensions, and estimated tax workpapers
- Book-to-tax – oversee depreciation schedules, M-1 adjustments,



and partner allocations
- IRS & state notices – identify issues, draft responses, and resolve notices
- Build the team from scratch – hire, train, and lead a team of preparers and reviewers
- Set up processes – create review checklists, workflows, and quality controls
- Client meetings – take an active part in client calls and work directly with US leadership

What We’re Looking For

- 7+ years of US tax compliance experience, ideally within Big 4 or a fund administrator
- Deep K-1 expertise – multiple K-1 seasons across partnership and multi-entity structures
- Robust command of Forms 1065 and 1040
- Team leadership – experience reviewing and mentoring associates
- Software – GoSystem Tax RS or similar; advanced Excel
- Confident communication with US clients and stakeholders
- Preferred: CPA (licensed or actively pursuing)
