Description

As a Delivery Manager for Azure Data Engineering at KPI Partners, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of data engineering projects utilizing Microsoft Azure technologies. You will lead a team of data engineers and collaborate with clients to understand their data requirements, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Your role will involve not only managing the technical aspects of data projects but also fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients and internal teams. You will drive best practices in data engineering, define project scopes, set milestones, and monitor project progress while addressing any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the planning and execution of Azure data engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and define project scope and deliverables.
- Ensure quality control and best practices in data engineering processes.




- Support the team in the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide project updates and gather feedback.
- Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Azure technologies.

Skills and Tools Required:

- Extensive experience in data engineering and project management, ideally with a focus on Azure.
- Strong proficiency with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala.
- Knowledge of big data technologies and data modeling techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management tools experience (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello).
- Relevant certifications in Azure Data Engineering or Project Management would be a plus.
