1. Develop and implement inventory management strategy aligned with Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and production requirements.

1. Oversee receipt, inspection coordination, binning, storage, and issuance of materials as per SOP.

3. Ensure proper preservation and handling of high-value and sensitive materials.

4. Establish barcode/RFID-based tracking systems through ERP.

C. Commercial &

- Documentation Control

1. Validate purchase orders, invoices, transport documents, and statutory compliance documents.

2. Ensure GST compliance, E-way bill management, and audit documentation readiness.

Coordinate with procurement and finance for timely vendor payments and reconciliation

D. Cost Control &

- Working Capital Optimization

1. Monitor and control inventory carrying cost and slow/non-moving inventory.

2. Implement cost-saving initiatives in storage, logistics, and material handling.

3. Drive periodic review of minimum–maximum stock levels.

E. Compliance, Safety &

- Governance

1. Ensure stores operations comply with safety and environmental standards.

2. Maintain statutory records and documentation for audits.

3. Implement secure storage practices to prevent pilferage and losses.

F. Team Management &

- Capability Building

1. Develop organization structure for Stores &
- Commercial function.

- Conduct training programs on ERP, compliance, and material management.

- Drive performance management and engagement initiatives.
