BALI, INDONESIA · ON-SITE · UNPAID · 4–6 MONTHS · PATH TO FULL-TIME
Ship real software into production for companies running energy plants, bioproduction systems and industrial AI. No sandbox projects: your code runs in live systems.
Who we are
We build and operate a portfolio of companies from a 4,000 sqm campus in Canggu, Bali, with 20+ years of company building across New York, London and Tokyo.
Interns rotate through our portfolio companies. Here are three:
- Zero-X: thermochemical conversion and distributed energy, with 200+ systems live in 11 countries.
- SERAPH: decentralized bioproduction combining AI, robotics and synthetic biology on one platform.
- Gemino AI: protected reinforcement learning for industrial control. Its OptiVX platform runs autonomous plant operations and aquatic biomass management, alongside Project Maya, a wearable AI platform.
What you'll do
- Develop APIs and backend services, integrating with databases and third-party systems.
- Build and maintain web applications and internal tools.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-structured code and review peers' work.
- Debug production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
- Work with databases,
data models and application logic.
- Test features and support deployment into production environments.
- Collaborate with engineers on software architecture and implementation.
What we're looking for
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related technical field (completed or final year).
- Hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, C++, APIs, databases and Git.
- Solid grasp of software development fundamentals, data structures and application architecture.
- A portfolio of real work: a deployed app, a backend project, a repository or an open-source contribution.
What you get
- Shipped software running in production, not just a side project.
- 11 AM to 5 PM, daily lunch included.
- On-campus rooms at competitive rates.
- A path into a full-time role across the group for strong performers.
Good to know: this is an unpaid, fully on-site internship in Bali. No remote or hybrid option. Start date: 1
December 2026 (rolling intake).
