Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems & Infrastructure Engineer (Server Engineer, Level 4) to support our US operations during US Eastern Time business hours. As a Level 4 engineer, you are the final technical escalation point for server and infrastructure issues, owning complex incident resolution, root cause analysis, and infrastructure improvements across a hybrid (on-premises and cloud) environment. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on server expertise with strong ownership, transparent communication with US stakeholders, and a security-first mindset.

- Act as Level 4 escalation point for critical server, virtualization, storage, and infrastructure incidents, driving them to resolution within SLAs.
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server and Linux environments (build, configuration, hardening, upgrades, and decommissioning).
- Manage and troubleshoot virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V) including capacity planning, performance tuning, and cluster health.




- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, ADFS/Azure AD Connect, and Entra ID (Azure AD) identity services.
- Support and administer hybrid cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, identity, storage, backup).
- Own patch management and vulnerability remediation for servers, coordinating maintenance windows with the client.
- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions; perform and validate restore and DR tests.
- Monitor infrastructure health and performance using monitoring tools; proactively identify and fix issues before they impact the business.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions.
- Automate repetitive tasks and build standardized deployments using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or tools such as Ansible/Terraform.
- Apply security best practices and server hardening aligned with CIS benchmarks and client compliance requirements; collaborate with the Cyber24 SOC on security incidents and remediation.
- Manage incidents, problems, and changes through the ITSM platform following ITIL processes and SLAs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Mentor Level 1–3 engineers and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer.
- Communicate clearly with US-based client stakeholders, providing status updates, reports,



and recommendations.

- 8+ years of experience in server, systems, or infrastructure engineering, including at least 2 years at an L3/L4 or senior escalation level.
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022).
- Strong experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PKI/certificate services.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365/Exchange hybrid environments.
- Solid knowledge of storage, backup, and DR solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Azure Backup, SAN/NAS).
- Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting/automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in high-pressure situations.
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, load balancers, VPN).
- Experience working in ITIL-aligned environments and with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with confidence engaging directly with US clients.
- Willingness to work in the US Eastern Time shift on a sustained basis.
