Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with 6-10 years of experience in the Finance/BFSI domain to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial processes, requirement gathering, data analysis, reporting, stakeholder management, and solution design. This role involves translating complex business requirements into actionable functional specifications and driving data-driven decision-making across finance operations, reporting, risk, compliance, and performance management initiatives.Roles and Responsibilities

- Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and process improvement opportunities.
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and reporting requirements through workshops, interviews, and discussions.
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, and business process documentation.
- Translate finance business requirements into functional specifications for technology and data teams.
- Define KPIs, financial metrics, reporting requirements, controls, and business rules.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new initiatives and enhancements.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Finance Teams, and Project Managers to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Support data mapping, reconciliation, data quality validation, and financial reporting requirements.
- Facilitate UAT activities,



prepare test scenarios, track defects, and ensure business sign-off.
- Ensure regulatory, audit, governance, and compliance considerations are incorporated into business solutions.
- Drive process optimization and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.

Ideal Candidate

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or a related discipline; MBA/CA/CFA is preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong exposure to Finance, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Corporate Finance functions.
- Strong understanding of financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, P&L; analysis, financial reporting, risk management, regulatory reporting, and reconciliations.
- Proven experience in requirement elicitation, stakeholder management, business process modeling, and documentation.
- Experience working on data analytics, BI reporting, finance transformation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively with both business leaders and technical delivery teams.
- Professional certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CFA, FRM, or Agile BA will be an added advantage.
