Role Description The Senior Bridge Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed bridge and structural drawings, including general arrangement drawings, reinforcement detailing, and construction plans, in accordance with relevant codes and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with design engineers, interpreting structural calculations and design intent, updating drawings based on review comments, and ensuring accuracy and consistency across all deliverables. The role involves maintaining drawing standards, preparing quantity take-offs from drawings, and supporting documentation for tenders and construction.

Draftsman will also collaborate with project teams to resolve design and drafting issues, adhere to timelines, and contribute to quality control processes. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.

Qualifications

- Robust proficiency in bridge and structural drafting using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, CAD-based bridge detailing tools).
- Solid understanding of bridge engineering concepts, reinforced concrete and steel detailing, and relevant national standards (including IRC and MoRTH).
- Experience preparing general arrangement drawings, reinforcement detailing, bar bending schedules, and construction drawings for bridges and related structures.
- Ability to interpret design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering sketches to produce accurate, clear, and code-compliant drawings.
- Attention to detail, quality-focused approach, and familiarity with drawing review, revision control, and documentation practices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with design engineers, project managers, and site teams.
- Diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering or Drafting, or equivalent technical qualification; prior experience in highway/bridge projects is strongly preferred.
- Capability to manage multiple drawing assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
