Role & responsibilities

- Develop a thorough understanding of processes, machinery, and components used in solar cell manufacturing units.

- Handle procurement activities, including vendor negotiations and cost optimization.

- Identify, research, and develop new domestic and international vendors, particularly from India and China.

- Evaluate and compare vendors based on pricing, quality, product life, lead time, and overall cost-benefit analysis (CBA).

- Coordinate closely with the technical team to understand their requirements and ensure timely procurement.

- Understand technical drawings and designs, including the ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings.

- Identify and source mechanical/electrical spare parts and equipment.





Preferred candidate profile

- 34 years of relevant professional experience.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical/electrical designs and spare parts.

- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings.

- Basic understanding of the solar industry, preferably solar cell manufacturing.

- Knowledge of procurement, vendor development, and negotiation.

- Valuable command of written and spoken English.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

- Knowledge of Chinese language will be an added advantage.
