Primary Skills (AI Native Must Have)

Strong hands on expertise in ABAP Development on HANA (performance tuning, pushdown, productive SQL access patterns).

Proficiency with CDS views and modern data modeling practices (associations, annotations, authorization concepts).

Experience with AMDP / SQLScript for performance critical scenarios and controlled code pushdown.

Solid software engineering discipline: clean design, testing mindset, CI/CD orientation, and production readiness.

AI native build capability: LLM integration, retrieval grounding, tool orchestration, evaluation loops, and safety boundaries.

Secondary / Strongly Beneficial Skills

OData/service design patterns, API lifecycle management, and contract-first development.

Experience integrating SAP backends with cloud runtimes and enterprise integration platforms.

Familiarity with performance benchmarking, load testing, and query-plan driven tuning practices.





Knowledge of SAP security/authorizations and compliance requirements for sensitive enterprise data.

What This Role Does Not Center On

Training or fine tuning foundation models from scratch.

AI assisted only development this role builds and owns AI behaviors (grounding, evaluation, guardrails, observability) as part of SAP solution delivery.
