Role Description The Retail Store Manager is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations, including managing staff schedules, monitoring inventory, maintaining store standards, and ensuring an organized and welcoming environment. The manager will drive sales, track performance metrics, and implement initiatives that align with Furnishka’s customer-first mission, focusing on value, transparency, and long-term relationships.

Responsibilities include handling customer queries and escalations, coaching team members on customer service,



managing cash and billing processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and retail loss prevention practices. The role also involves coordinating with regional management, supporting visual merchandising, and contributing to continuous improvement in store processes.

Qualifications

- Strong customer-focused skills, including Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to handle queries and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and vendors in a clear, respectful, and professional manner.
- Proficiency in Store Management, including staff supervision, inventory oversight, and adherence to operational processes.
- Knowledge of Retail Loss Prevention practices to safeguard store assets and ensure accurate cash handling and billing.
- Prior experience in retail, preferably in furniture or home décor, with a track record of meeting sales and operational targets.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, make data-informed decisions, and work hands-on on the store floor.
- Comfort with basic computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) tools; familiarity with online retail platforms is an advantage.
