About the Role

We are looking for a Product Manager with an engineering background to own products end to end, from problem discovery and requirement definition through development, launch and iteration. You will work closely with engineering, design, content, data and business teams to build and scale Filo’s consumer-facing learning products. This role suits someone who understands how software is built, enjoys solving ambiguous problems in a fast-moving environment, and takes accountability for outcomes across the full product lifecycle rather than a single feature area.

What You’ll Do

- Own product areas end to end, from opportunity assessment and prioritisation to development, launch and measurable outcomes.
- Build a deep understanding of learners and tutors through qualitative research, data and experimentation.
- Translate business goals and user insights into clear product bets, success metrics and execution plans, driving improvements across acquisition, activation, engagement, retention and monetisation.
- Drive technical discussions with engineering on system architecture, APIs, integrations, dependencies and constraints, and use them to scope work,



evaluate trade-offs and keep releases on schedule.
- Develop prioritised roadmaps and backlogs based on user needs, business impact, engineering effort and technical dependencies.
- Improve reliability and user experience by identifying edge cases, failure scenarios, integration risks and friction points across end-to-end user journeys.
- Design and evaluate experiments to validate product hypotheses and measure outcomes.
- Align engineering, design, academic/content, marketing, growth and operations teams on priorities and expected outcomes, making trade-offs transparent and driving timely delivery.

What We’re Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field. Candidates who have worked as engineers or developers before moving into product management are strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in product management or technical product management, with proven end-to-end ownership across discovery, launch and scale, not limited to a single pod or feature area.
- Strong grasp of software development concepts, including coding, APIs, databases, system architecture, integrations and client-server interactions, with the ability to review technical designs, ask engineers the right questions and evaluate trade-offs.
- Understanding of software testing, edge cases, error handling and reliability considerations in digital products.
- Demonstrated experience building and scaling consumer technology products. EdTech experience is a plus, particularly an understanding of learner behaviour and motivation.
- Hands-on experience taking features from concept to release, including writing PRDs and user stories and managing roadmaps and backlogs with tools such as Jira, Figma, Notion and product analytics platforms (Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills: interpreting product metrics, investigating root causes and making data-informed decisions, backed by sound product judgement.
- Ability to balance user experience, business impact, technical feasibility and delivery timelines.
