Role Description The Piping Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Jamnagar. This position involves designing and reviewing piping layouts and routing for process units and utilities, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing piping calculations, coordinating stress analysis with structural and mechanical teams, preparing material take-offs, and reviewing isometric drawings and support details.

The Piping

Engineer collaborates closely with project managers, site engineers, and fabrication teams to resolve technical issues,



support installation and modifications, and address field queries. The role also includes participating in design reviews, monitoring construction progress for piping-related activities, and preparing technical documentation and reports.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Piping Design and Piping layout, including familiarity with related codes and standards.
- Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Piping and Pipe systems, including materials, fittings, valves, supports, and fabrication methods.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in engineering Calculations and Stress Analysis for piping systems under various operating conditions.
- Relevant experience with piping design software and 3D modeling tools (e.g., AutoCAD, PDMS, SP3D, or similar) is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in fertilizer, petrochemical, or refinery projects, particularly in brownfield or turnaround environments, is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices, quality standards, and construction methodologies for piping works.
- Good communication skills, ability to work within multidisciplinary teams, and readiness to operate in an on-site industrial environment in Jamnagar.
