Project Noon
Mumbai
About Project Noon:Project Noon is building India's first Sun Control brand- reimagining how people protect, comfort, and recover from everyday sun exposure. We believe the future of sun care goes far beyond sunscreen, and we're creating an entirely new category of products designed to help people live better under the sun.
Built at The Foundery, backed by Nikhil Kamath, Kishore Biyani, and Ronnie Screwvala, Project Noon is being built as a next-generation consumer brand with the ambition to define a new category from India for the world. By combining breakthrough product innovation, thoughtful design, and world-class brand building, we're creating a company that's changing the way millions of people experience the sun.
Role OverviewWe are looking for a Performance Marketing Associate to help build and strengthen Project Noon's paid growth engine. This role is suited to a data-driven marketer who understands how to evaluate campaign performance, uncover meaningful insights and translate them into actions that improve customer acquisition and marketing efficiency.
You will work across paid digital channels, primarily Meta and Google, with responsibility for monitoring performance, understanding campaign and funnel metrics, identifying opportunities, and ensuring that marketing activity is aligned with Project Noon's business and channel priorities. The role goes beyond reporting: we are looking for someone who can interpret the numbers, ask the right questions, form a point of view and drive follow-through.
You will work closely with the Founder, Revenue Lead, Brand and Creative teams, and the e-commerce team. As Project Noon grows, this role will have the opportunity to take on greater ownership of campaign strategy and execution, develop deeper channel expertise and build an in-house performance marketing function.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience across fast growing FMCG brand
Work arrangement: Full-time, on-site | Worli, Mumbai
Key Responsibilities
Paid Media Performance & Optimisation
- Monitor and analyse paid campaigns across Meta and Google, tracking performance against acquisition, traffic and revenue objectives.
- Develop a strong understanding of campaign structure, audiences, placements, bidding, budgets, optimisation events and platform-level performance.
- Track and interpret key metrics including spend, impressions, reach, CPM, CTR, CPC, landing-page views, conversion rate, CAC, ROAS and revenue.
- Identify trends, anomalies, inefficient spend, audience fatigue and opportunities to improve campaign performance.
- Recommend and follow through on budget shifts, campaign changes, audience tests and optimisation priorities.
- Understand the difference between platform-reported performance and the wider business picture, and use multiple data points to form a balanced view.
Insights, Reporting & Measurement
- Turn campaign data into clear, actionable insights rather than simply sharing performance reports.
- Prepare regular performance updates covering results, key drivers, learnings, risks and recommended next steps.
- Analyse performance by product/SKU, campaign objective, audience, creative,
placement, geography and customer cohort wherever data is available.
- Track new-customer acquisition, returning-customer behaviour, CAC, ROAS and the relationship between paid activity and overall sales.
- Work towards a consistent measurement and reporting framework, maintaining accuracy and clarity across metrics and definitions.
- Develop hypotheses, structure experiments and document learnings so that successful approaches can be repeated and scaled.
Creative Strategy & Testing
- Work closely with Brand and Creative teams to translate campaign performance into explicit creative feedback and briefs.
- Evaluate which hooks, formats, messages, product benefits and visual approaches are driving stronger engagement and conversion.
- Plan and monitor structured creative tests across formats such as short-form video, static ads, creator-led content, product demonstrations and UGC.
- Help ensure that performance creative communicates Project Noon's broader Sun Control proposition rather than treating the brand as a sunscreen-only business.
- Maintain a feedback loop between creative output and campaign results, identifying fatigue and opportunities for fresh iterations.
Funnel & Website Conversion
- Monitor the customer journey from ad impression and click through to landing page, product discovery, add-to-cart and purchase.
- Identify friction points in the D2C funnel and recommend improvements to landing pages, product pages, offers and checkout journeys.
- Work with the e-commerce team to understand website analytics, conversion trends, traffic quality, AOV and drop-offs.
- Evaluate the impact of promotions, bundles, product launches and merchandising changes on paid traffic conversion.
- Develop a working understanding of attribution, tracking, pixels, events, UTMs and analytics tools.
Cross-Channel & Business Collaboration
- Work closely with the Revenue Lead to align paid media plans with overall revenue targets, channel priorities and business performance.
- Understand how paid activity contributes to D2C and marketplace growth, while recognising the role of organic demand, repeat purchases and other sales channels.
- Partner with Brand and Creative teams on campaign calendars, product launches, content requirements and performance-led creative development.
- Coordinate with the e-commerce team on website performance, catalogue and product-page readiness, offers and conversion improvements.
- Work with Finance and the Revenue Lead, where required, to track marketing spends against budgets and understand the commercial implications of campaign decisions.
- Keep stakeholders informed on performance, emerging insights, planned tests and actions requiring cross-functional support.
Building In-House Capability
- Develop hands-on expertise across paid media platforms and progressively take greater ownership of campaign planning, setup, optimisation and execution.
- Build repeatable processes for campaign monitoring, testing, reporting, documentation and performance reviews.
- Stay current with platform changes, performance marketing best practices, measurement developments and emerging acquisition formats.
- As the function scales, contribute to defining the capabilities, processes and team structure required to build a strong in-house performance marketing team.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing or paid digital media.
- Previous experience in fast-paced FMCG or consumer brands is ideal; experience in D2C, beauty, skincare, personal care, wellness or lifestyle is highly relevant.
- Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, with the ability to understand campaign setup, optimisation and performance drivers.
- Comfortable analysing campaign data and interpreting metrics such as CAC, ROAS, CPM, CTR, CPC, CVR, AOV and new-customer acquisition.
- Ability to turn data into insights, recommendations and clear next steps; strong reporting and analytical skills.
- Experience working with creative teams and giving performance-led feedback on ad concepts, formats, hooks and messaging.
- Understanding of D2C funnels, website analytics, pixels, conversion tracking, attribution and UTM structures.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort working with dashboards and analytics tools.
- A hands-on learner who is curious, detail-oriented and motivated to take increasing ownership of performance marketing.
Key Stakeholders & Liaison

- Analytical and curious, with the confidence to question numbers and investigate what is driving performance.
- A strong balance of platform knowledge, commercial understanding and creative instinct.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented; comfortable moving from insight to execution.
- Able to communicate clearly with both creative and commercially focused stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
- Interested in building a new consumer category and understanding the changing needs of Indian consumers in the sun-care and personal-care space.
- Candidates from tier-1 institutions preferred.
