About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 OneDrive Migration Consultant to support enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 transformation and migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in OneDrive for Business administration, governance, migration readiness, adoption planning, and operational support. This role will focus on providing workload expertise for OneDrive for Business migrations, including home drive migration planning, personal site (My Site) migrations, Known Folder Move implementation, migration validation, governance, and post-migration stabilization activities.

The consultant will work alongside Microsoft FastTrack teams, project stakeholders, and global delivery teams to ensure successful migration outcomes and long-term platform adoption. The role also requires providing extended support coverage to enable follow-the-sun operations across global migration and implementation workstreams.

What You'll Do:

- Support OneDrive for Business administration, governance, and operational support activities.
- Collaborate with Microsoft FastTrack teams and project stakeholders on migration readiness and planning initiatives.
- Assess and prepare users, devices,



and workloads for OneDrive migration activities.
- Plan and support personal site (My Site) and home drive migration initiatives.
- Implement and validate Known Folder Move (KFM) configurations and user onboarding activities.
- Support migration wave planning, execution monitoring, and post-migration stabilization efforts.
- Conduct migration readiness assessments and identify potential migration risks and dependencies.
- Validate migrated data, permissions, sync configurations, and user access after migration events.
- Configure and manage OneDrive sharing policies, governance controls, and external collaboration settings.
- Support user adoption initiatives and drive awareness of OneDrive best practices and modern collaboration capabilities.
- Troubleshoot OneDrive synchronization, access, sharing, permissions, and client-related issues.
- Develop migration runbooks, governance standards, operational procedures, and support documentation.
- Support issue triage, root cause analysis, and incident resolution activities.
- Collaborate with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 teams to ensure seamless cross-workload experiences.
- Assist with compliance, retention, security, and governance requirements within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Participate in deployment planning, testing, user acceptance validation, and cutover readiness activities.
- Monitor migration progress and recommend corrective actions when required.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance before, during, and after migration events.
- Support platform implementation initiatives and ongoing service improvement programs.
- Deliver extended-hours operational support and follow-the-sun coverage for global migration activities.

Expertise You'll Bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 8-12 years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies.
- Strong expertise in OneDrive for Business administration and governance.
- Proven experience with OneDrive for Business migration planning and migration readiness activities.
- Hands-on experience supporting home drive migration and personal site (My Site) migration initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Known Folder Move (KFM) implementation and adoption strategies.




- Experience with OneDrive sharing controls, external collaboration, and governance frameworks.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 migration validation, user onboarding, and post-migration stabilization activities.
- Strong troubleshooting experience related to OneDrive Sync Client, permissions, sharing, and content access issues.
- Experience working with Microsoft FastTrack-led migration engagements.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 compliance, retention, data governance, and security controls.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 collaboration environments.
- Understanding of SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Microsoft Teams integration with OneDrive.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills.
- Experience preparing user adoption, training, and change management materials.
- Ability to create operational documentation, deployment runbooks, and governance standards.
- Robust communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience working with global delivery teams and distributed support models.
- Ability to provide complementary timezone coverage supporting U.S. and global operations.
- Solid consulting mindset with experience advising clients on Microsoft 365 best practices.
