RVN Inc. is hiring an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer - Static for an onshore Oil & Gas project based in Chennai, India.

This role focuses on the design and engineering of static equipment, including pressure vessels and heat exchangers. You'll support engineering deliverables across FEED and detailed engineering, making sure designs meet the applicable codes, standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform mechanical design and engineering of static equipment, including pressure vessels and heat exchangers
- Use PV Elite for equipment design calculations, analysis and verification in line with project specifications and applicable codes
- Support mechanical integrity assessments and ensure equipment designs meet safety, reliability and performance requirements
- Review vendor documents, drawings, calculations and technical specifications for static equipment
- Coordinate with process, piping, materials, inspection and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical interfaces
- Prepare and review engineering deliverables, including datasheets, design calculations, specifications and technical requisitions
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, client specifications and project quality requirements
- Support technical queries,



design reviews and resolution of engineering comments throughout the project lifecycle

Mandatory Requirements

- 15+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design of static equipment for Oil & Gas projects
- Strong hands-on experience designing pressure vessels and heat exchangers
- Proficiency in PV Elite for pressure vessel design and analysis
- Proficiency in HTRI for heat exchanger design and analysis
- Experience in mechanical integrity for onshore Oil & Gas projects
- EPC project experience, preferably across FEED and detailed engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as ASME Section VIII and applicable API standards

Good to Have

- Experience with refinery, petrochemical, gas processing or other onshore Oil & Gas facilities
- Exposure to vendor coordination, technical bid evaluation and multidisciplinary design reviews
- Solid technical communication, documentation and problem-solving skills
