Role Description The Maintenance Manager – Vithalapur – Ahmedabad will oversee all maintenance operations at the on-site facility located in Chakan in a full-time capacity.

Responsibilities include planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities for production and utility equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable plant performance. The role involves supervising maintenance teams, allocating tasks, monitoring work quality, and supporting skill development and safety compliance.

The Maintenance

Manager will manage maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, vendor coordination, and maintenance records,



while driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability and cost efficiency. This position will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to support smooth plant operations and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

1. Breakdown Prevention & Maintenance Management:

· Ensure near-zero breakdowns through robust preventive maintenance activities.

· Manage spare parts inventory efficiently to minimize downtime.

· Implement Live Condition Monitoring techniques for early failure detection.

· Develop and train a skilled maintenance workforce to sustain operational efficiency.

· Drive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives to improve machine reliability.

2. Process & Quality Improvements:

· Identify applications of POKA YOKE (error-proofing) and implement them to prevent defects.

· Explore and deploy robotics & automation solutions to reduce manpower dependency and cycle time.

· Plan and execute automation projects as per the business calendar.

3. Installation & Commissioning:

· Ensure the installation and commissioning of machines within 24 hours of their arrival or supplier engineer availability.





· Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to achieve seamless machinery deployment.

4. Energy Management & Cost Optimization:

· Work on initiatives to reduce electricity costs per piece through efficiency improvements.

· Identify and implement Green Energy Projects to enhance sustainability.

· Monitor and control energy consumption across manufacturing operations.

5. Legal Compliance & Safety:

· Ensure legal compliance as per electricity board regulations and other statutory requirements.

· Maintain documentation and records to comply with safety and regulatory standards.

· Conduct safety training and implement best practices for workplace safety.

Key Skills & Competencies:

· Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, TPM, and condition monitoring.

· Expertise in robotics, automation, and process improvement initiatives.

· Hands-on experience in machine installation, commissioning, and energy management.

· Ability to manage spare parts inventory and cost-effective maintenance strategies.

· Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

· Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

· Minimum 8-12 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in the Plastic manufacturing industry.

· Experience in automation, robotics, and energy-saving projects is a plus.
