Project Overview

We are an early-stage startup developing an innovative, ultra-low-power edge sensing device. We are building a functional 20-unit prototype batch (MVP) to validate our core sensor algorithms, low-power wireless communication pipeline, and mechanical enclosure before moving into commercial production.

We are seeking an experienced Hardware / Embedded Systems Engineering Lead (or Design Agency) to take complete ownership of custom multi-layer PCB design, low-power embedded firmware, 2.4 GHz RF integration, and prototype batch assembly.

Key Deliverables & Scope of Work

- Schematic & Multi-Layer PCB Design
- Embedded Firmware & Power Optimization
- 20-Unit Prototype Sourcing & Assembly

Qualifications & Technical Requirements For Individual Consultants / Engineers:

● Experience: 4–6+ years in shipping battery-operated, compact IoT or edge-hardware products.

● EDA Tools: Expertise in KiCad, Altium Designer, or equivalent multi-layer PCB design software.

● Firmware: Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++, RTOS (Zephyr/FreeRTOS), BLE 5.x stack, and I2C/SPI sensor interfaces.

● RF & Power: Solid understanding of 2.4 GHz antenna design, impedance matching, and PMIC battery management.

● Prototyping: Hands-on experience managing quick-turn PCB fabrication and small-batch assembly.

For Consultancies / Design Houses / Agencies:

● Demonstrated portfolio of completed ultra-compact or low-power IoT products.

● In-house cross-disciplinary capability covering Hardware (PCB/RF), Firmware (C/C++/BLE), and Mechanical/CAD Enclosure Design.





● Turnkey delivery capability from Gerber files to 20 fully assembled physical units.

Engagement Terms & Compensation

● Milestone-Based Payments: Tied directly to project deliverables (1. Schematic/Layout Approval, 2. Firmware Bring-up & BLE Stack, 3. 20-Unit Assembled Hardware Handover).

● IP Ownership: All schematics, source code, CAD files, Gerber data, and intellectual property developed during this project will remain 100% the property of the client.

● NDA Requirement: A standard Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (MNDA) must be signed prior to receiving detailed technical specifications, target algorithms, or reference mechanical dimensions.

● Future Opportunity: Exceptional individual contributors will be given priority consideration for full time equity/leadership roles as the company expands.
