Role Purpose

Execute assigned audit procedures and support the delivery of risk-based internal audits across plants, depots, CFAs, warehouses, sales and distribution, procurement, stores, logistics, finance, HR, IT and other business functions. Identify control gaps, validate evidence and prepare explicit, fact-based audit observations.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform audit fieldwork as per approved audit plan, audit program, scope and timelines.
- Collect, verify and document audit evidence through walkthroughs, sample testing, document review, physical verification and data analysis.
- Test compliance with approved policies, SOPs, delegated authority, contracts, applicable laws and internal controls.
- Review transactions and master data relating to customers, vendors, payments, procurement, inventory, logistics, depot operations, Capex and Opex expenses and other assigned areas.
- Identify exceptions, quantify financial exposure where possible, establish facts and discuss preliminary findings with process owners.
- Prepare working papers with clear audit trails, sample details, supporting evidence and conclusions.
- Draft observations covering criteria, condition, root cause, risk/business impact and recommendations.
- Follow up on open audit observations and obtain evidence to validate closure,



under guidance of the reporting manager.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional scepticism, independence and compliance with the Internal Audit Charter and code of conduct.
- Support preparation of audit reports, dashboards, presentations and periodic status updates.

Educational Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: Bachelor/Masters degree in Commerce/MBA/ Semi-Qualified (CA Inter).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Workspace (G suite) and ERP Systems- SAP.
- Soft Skills: Sharp attention to detail, strong numerical analytical capability, clear written & verbal communication skills, and uncompromised ethical integrity.

Experience: 1-3 years of relevant hands-on experience in internal audit, accounting, financial controls, or process reviews.

Key Competencies

- Strong understanding of risk-based auditing, internal controls and root-cause analysis.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; SAP knowledge and audit analytics exposure preferred.
- Strong report writing, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Sound judgement, independence, professional scepticism and a solutions-oriented approach.
