Interior Project Manager – Residential/Commercial Site Execution
INEAZY | Whitefield, Bengaluru | Full time, On-site
INEAZY is a growing interior design studio in Bengaluru, delivering premium residential interiors from design to handover.
We’re looking for an experienced Interior Project Manager to take ownership of on-site execution—from site readiness and work planning to quality checks, snag closure, and final client handover.
This is a hands-on, site-based role. You will manage vendors and execution teams, ensure work follows approved drawings, resolve site issues, and keep clients informed throughout the project.
This is not a design-only, office-based, or reporting-only position. We need someone who has personally managed residential interior projects on site and delivered them through to handover.
Role responsibilities
- Own project execution from start to handover
- Take charge of site execution once the design and scope are approved.
- Review drawings, site measurements, scope of work, and execution requirements with the design team before work begins.
- Prepare and manage the site execution schedule, including work sequencing, vendor commitments, and material requirements.
- Take responsibility for day-to-day progress, workmanship, issue resolution, and handover readiness.
- Manage vendors and on-site teams
- Coordinate carpenters, false-ceiling teams, electricians, plumbers, painters, and other execution partners.
- Set clear daily and weekly work targets and follow up on completion.
- Ensure teams are available when required and that work is carried out in the correct sequence.
- Hold vendors accountable for agreed timelines, quality standards, and rectification work.
- Ensure drawing accuracy and quality
- Read and interpret approved interior drawings and explain execution requirements to site teams.
- Check measurements, layouts, installation details, finishes, and workmanship at each stage.
- Identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions before execution.
- Resolve design-related clarifications with the design team rather than making unapproved changes on site.
- Ensure defects are corrected before subsequent work covers them up.
- Control timelines and material readiness
- Track planned versus actual progress and take corrective action when work falls behind.
- Coordinate material requirements, delivery dates, and site readiness to avoid preventable downtime.
- Check delivered materials against project requirements and flag shortages, damage, or mismatches promptly.
- Identify execution risks early and escalate decisions that require founder, designer, or client approval.
5. Manage client communication and site changes
- Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day execution updates.
- Share clear daily progress updates, photographs, upcoming activities, and issues requiring decisions.
- Communicate delays or constraints early, along with a proposed resolution.
- Document client change requests and coordinate approval of any impact on scope, cost, or timelines before execution.
- Complete quality checks and handover
- Conduct stage-wise inspections and prepare the final snag list.
- Coordinate rectification and verify that pending work is completed.
- Check finishing, fittings, fixtures, and functionality before client walkthroughs.
- Close execution-related concerns and complete the project handover.
Mandatory experience and skills
- 4–7 years of experience in the interior execution or interior fit-out industry.
- At least 2 years independently managing residential interior projects on site as an Interior Project Manager, Site Execution Manager, or in an equivalent role.
- Experience taking residential interior projects through execution, finishing, snag closure, and final handover—not just supervising one trade or one stage.
- Practical understanding of carpentry and modular installations, false ceilings, electrical work, plumbing, painting, and finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret interior drawings and verify work against them.
- Experience planning site activities, coordinating multiple vendors, and managing material dependencies.
- Clear, confident communication with clients, designers, vendors, and site teams.
- Willingness to work on site daily and take ownership of execution problems until they are resolved.
Preferred qualification
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
- What success looks like
- Site work progresses against an agreed execution schedule.
- Work matches approved drawings and quality expectations.
- Vendors understand their responsibilities and meet commitments.
- Clients receive timely updates without having to repeatedly follow up.
- Issues are identified early, resolved promptly, and escalated when necessary.
- Projects reach handover with agreed snag items closed.
Why join INEAZY?
- Work directly with the founders.
- Own projects from execution planning to final handover.
- Be part of a small, growing team where your contribution is visible.
- Grow into larger responsibilities as the company scales.
