- Patient Care and Ward Rounds: Participate in morning rounds with doctors and nurses, review patient charts, and adjust drug regimens based on lab results and kidney or liver function. [1, 2]

- Order Verification and Safety: Screen and verify electronic medication orders to catch dosing errors, drug interactions, and contraindications before administration. [1, 2]

- Compounding and Preparation: Prepare specialized or sterile products, including intravenous (IV) nutrition, custom pediatric doses, and oncology chemotherapy. [1]

- Medication Reconciliation:



Compile accurate drug histories when patients are admitted and coordinate care plans upon discharge to prevent readmissions. [1]

- Inventory and Procurement: Manage hospital stock, monitor supply chains, oversee quality assurance, and formulate hospital-wide drug policies. [1, 2]
