Technical Business Analyst

Summary We are seeking a seasoned Technical Business Analyst with four to five years of professional experience to serve as the vital link between business stakeholders and engineering units. In this role, you will translate complex business needs into precise technical specifications, ensuring that solutions are implemented correctly from the outset and generate tangible value. Operating within a dynamic, cross-functional delivery team, you will be instrumental in maintaining project alignment, meeting deadlines, and prioritizing the organization's immediate strategic goals.

Location: Bhubaneswar

Responsibilities

- Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and technical requirements—including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and user stories—to provide development teams with unambiguous, testable specifications that minimize rework.
- Develop and maintain process flows, wireframes, and data mappings using industry-standard tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Figma throughout every project sprint and release cycle.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, quality assurance engineers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to synchronize priorities, clarify requirements, and manage dependencies effectively.
- Utilize SQL to query and analyze data while monitoring key performance indicators such as requirement completion rates, defect leakage, and delivery velocity via platforms like Jira, Power BI, or Tableau to provide leadership with clear progress visibility.
- Assess current workflows and identify system gaps to propose and assist in implementing enhancements that reduce manual effort, improve data integrity, and boost overall delivery efficiency.

Requirements

- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline,



or demonstrable equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Four to five years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst within a specific sector, such as IT services, BFSI, e-commerce, or healthcare.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise in requirements gathering and documentation (BRD, FRD, SRS, user stories, acceptance criteria).
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Working knowledge of APIs (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML, and system integration patterns.
- Competence with project management and documentation tools including Jira and Confluence.
- Skills in process modeling (BPMN, UML) and wireframing software.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.

- Interpersonal Skills: Strong stakeholder management, analytical and critical thinking capabilities, exceptional written and verbal communication, negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Certifications: [Preferred: CBAP, PMI-PBA, CSPO, or Agile/Scrum certification]

Preferred Qualifications

- Practical experience with Business Intelligence and visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data warehousing principles.
- Background in test case design and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination.
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for data analysis purposes.
