Role Description The Hiring Professor of Finance at Amity University Kolkata will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures in finance and related areas, mentoring students, and supervising research projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating course curricula, preparing teaching materials, evaluating student performance, and providing academic advising. The role also involves contributing to research activities,



publishing scholarly work, participating in departmental committees, and engaging with industry to keep the curriculum aligned with current practices.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, requiring regular presence on campus and active involvement in academic and institutional initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong domain knowledge in Finance and Corporate Finance, with the ability to teach core and advanced courses.
- Proficiency in Accounting concepts and their application in financial decision-making.
- Solid grounding in Economics to contextualize financial theories and markets.
- Demonstrated Research skills, including publication in reputed academic journals and guiding student research.
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Finance or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Prior teaching experience at the university level, preferably in finance, accounting, or economics.
- Ability to integrate industry practices into teaching, and engage with corporate partners and professional bodies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with a commitment to inclusive and value-based education.
