We are looking for a zero-to-one business builder to construct our offline retail strategy from scratch. You will own the complete offline retail lifecycle—from micro-market site selection, lease negotiations, and store design to customer experience journeys, daily operations, and store-level P&L; performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Retail Expansion &
- Real Estate:

Define city-wise rollout strategy, identify high-footfall micro-markets, negotiate property leases, and evaluate location-level ROI and rental benchmarks.
- Store Build &
- Infrastructure: Standardize Univest store formats, collaborate with architects/vendors, manage store launch budgets, and create repeatable opening SOPs.
- Customer Experience (CX) Design: Map the physical customer journey across walk-ins, account opening, product education, and support; integrate offline interactions with Univest’s digital CRM.
- Store Operations &
- Commercial Performance: Own store-level unit economics, customer acquisition costs, demat account activations, and overall store profitability.
- Governance &
- Regulatory Compliance:



Ensure all physical locations strictly adhere to financial services, exchange, and regulatory guidelines regarding customer interaction and data privacy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Number of store/experience centre launches executed on schedule
- Capital expenditure efficiency and cost per store launch
- Walk-in footfalls, lead generation, and Demat conversion rates
- Store payback period, revenue, and contribution margin per store

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 8–15 years of leadership experience in retail network expansion, real estate acquisition, store operations, or omnichannel strategy.
- Background in consumer-facing industries such as fintech, banking, telecom, electronics, or up-to-date retail formats.
- Demonstrated track record of opening and managing a multi-city physical footprint from pilot phase to scale.
- Deep financial discipline around store-level unit economics, rent-to-revenue ratios, and payback cycles.
