Role Description The Head Cashier is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India, responsible for overseeing all cash desk operations and ensuring accurate, efficient, and customer-friendly billing. This role includes supervising cashiers, assigning and monitoring daily tasks, and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures for cash handling and point-of-sale activities.

The Head

Cashier will manage cash reconciliation, monitor payment methods, resolve billing or transaction issues,



and coordinate with store management and finance to maintain accurate records. The role also involves supporting customer queries at the billing counter, ensuring smooth checkout experiences during peak hours, and training new cashiers on systems, processes, and customer service standards.

The Head

Cashier is expected to uphold EMIL’s values, maintain a skilled work environment, and contribute to overall store performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong cash handling, point-of-sale operation, and transaction reconciliation skills.
- Candidates should possess team supervision, staff training, and shift coordination skills to manage cashier teams effectively.
- Candidates should possess customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills to handle billing issues and customer queries.
- Candidates should possess basic accounting, record-keeping, and attention to detail skills to maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with retail billing systems, barcode scanners, and payment technologies (cards, UPI, wallets).
- Previous experience as a Head Cashier, Senior Cashier, or similar role in retail or consumer electronics is preferred.
- A minimum of a high school diploma; a graduate degree in commerce, business, or a related field is an added advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced store environment.
