Experience : -

- 4-7 years of experience of electronics hardware design & development

- Experience with SOM, SBC, SOC, processor, camera, LCD displays, speakers, Lithium battery, PMIC, Adapter etc

- Familiar with all phases of hardware development including schematic entry, manually generated constraints, requirements of the constraints and board layout, prototyping, testing, mass production

Education and Certification : -

- Bachelor/Master in Electronics/E&TC; engineering or alike

Job Requirements Technical skills : -

- Circuit Schematic Design, Simulation & Analysis (Orcad exp is preferred)

- PCB Layout Design & Analysis

- Component Specification analysis and selection

- Knowledge of Safety, EMI/EMC compliance requirements

- Knowledge of using Test Instruments

- Product Development Life Cycle Experience

- Experience in production environments, Develop parts with suppliers

Roles and Responsibilities : -

- You will work as an Electronics hardware design/development engineer as a part of an India development team.

- Develop new products, concepts and prototypes based on the requirements





- Improve and redesign existing products

- Analysing requirements for applications with focus on visual/video systems and mechanical feasibility of your design

- PCB Schematic, layout design and simulation

- Perform design analysis like signal integrity, power integrity, derating analysis

- Component selection, Interpretation of Manufacturer datasheet

- Prepare technical documentation such as specifications, design descriptions, functional specifications and test plan

- Select electrical and electronics components, arrange samples for prototyping and testing

- Building and testing of prototypes. Developing prototypes into production ready products

- Provide assistance in the start-up phase of production (in the manufacturing plant in Ireland or elsewhere), but also in the case of incidental or structural problems in the production process)

- Cost price calculations and optimizations

- Regulatory compliance and product safety of the hardware parts and product

- Stay informed about your field (new technologies, production methods, competitors, etc.)

Work description:

- Van Lent Systems would like to develop a new product line of readers. These readers are used by the visually challenged and elderly to read text from for example newspapers, correspondence, books etc. This can be done by OCR to voice and by improving contrast, colour and size on a screen.
