Role Description As an Economic Tutor at Ur Personal Tutor, you will deliver high-quality instruction in Economics to students following Cambridge IGCSE, AS/A Levels, and IB curricula. This full-time hybrid role is based in Bengaluru, with a mix of in-person sessions and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, clarifying core concepts, and providing structured practice and feedback.

You will assess student understanding through homework, tests, and informal checks,



adapt teaching strategies to individual learning styles, and maintain clear communication with students and, where appropriate, parents or guardians. The role also involves developing learning materials, tracking progress, and contributing to a supportive learning environment that promotes curiosity and academic excellence.

Qualifications

- Solid subject-matter expertise in Economics, including Microeconomics and Macroeconomics, aligned with Cambridge and IB syllabi.
- Solid foundation in Mathematics to support economic analysis, quantitative reasoning, and problem-solving.
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics or a closely related field; teaching certifications or training in IGCSE/AS/A Levels/IB are an advantage.
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience with students aged 15–19, preferably in international school or exam-focused settings.
