Position Summary :

- To lead and support process engineering activities for chemical manufacturing projects, with a focus on hazardous chemistry, process design, equipment sizing, process safety, project execution, and commissioning of chemical plants.

Job Profile:

- Lead process engineering activities for hazardous chemistry projects.
- Develop and review process design documents, including PFDs, P&IDs;, mass and energy balances, and process specifications.
- Perform process calculations and equipment sizing for reactors, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and other process equipment.
- Ensure process safety through HAZOP, risk assessment, and implementation of process safety recommendations.
- Coordinate with technology licensors,



engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and internal project teams.
- Review technical offers, equipment datasheets, and vendor engineering documents.
- Ensure compliance with process safety standards, statutory requirements, and applicable engineering codes.
- Support process optimization, troubleshooting, and resolution of technical issues during project execution.
- Provide process engineering support during equipment erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, & plant start-up.

Desired Profile:

- BE / B.Tech (Chemicals Engineering) with 6 to 10 years experience of relevant process/project engineering experience, preferably in hazardous chemical manufacturing.
- Approximately 6 to10 years of relevant experience in process engineering, project engineering, or technical project execution within the chemical manufacturing industry.
- Candidates from specialty chemicals, fine chemicals, API intermediates, agrochemicals, and other chemical manufacturing industries with relevant process engineering and project execution experience will be preferred.
- Experience in specialty chemicals, hazardous chemistry, batch processing, and chemical process plants will be preferred.
- Solid knowledge of process design, PFDs, P&IDs;, mass and energy balances, and process equipment sizing.
- Hands-on experience in HAZOP, process risk assessment, and process safety implementation.
- Experience in technical evaluation of equipment, vendor document review, and coordination with engineering consultants.
- Exposure to plant erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities.
- Good understanding of chemical process safety, statutory compliance, and applicable engineering standards.
- Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, communication, and project execution skills.
