We are hiring a Data Migration Specialist to support provider implementations by owning the data migration workflow into CareSwitch.
This role reports to the Director of Implementations and will work closely with Implementation Managers, Product, Engineering, and Operations. The Specialist will run established Rubie vendor migration workflows, support manual data migrations when providers do not have an AMS or structured export source, validate data quality, and help ensure each implementation moves from migration to training with minimal cleanup drama.
This is an offshore, remote individual contributor role for someone who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working with messy data. Healthcare experience is helpful, but not required
? Location: Bangalore Urban, India
⏰ Work Mode: Work from Office
? Role: Data Migration Specialist
What You'll Do:
?
Migration Workflow Execution
· Run established Rubie vendor migration workflows using documented playbooks.
· Complete prompt-based setup, export generation, file download, and migration handoff steps.
· Support manual data migrations for providers without an AMS or clean system-generated export.
· Track each migration from initial data pull through final validation.
· Submit clear import requests, issue tickets, or escalation notes when Product or Engineering support is needed.
· Maintain clean status updates for each active migration.
Data Review, Cleanup & Validation
· Review exported or manually prepared data for completeness, accuracy, and formatting issues.
· Identify missing, duplicate, inconsistent, inactive, archived, or incomplete records.
· Perform sanity checks before data import.
· Validate key implementation data such as client records, caregiver records, provider records, services, schedules, billing-related fields, phone numbers, email addresses, dates, and other required information.
· Flag data issues early so Implementation Managers can resolve provider questions before go-live risk gets spicy.
Data Mapping & Provider Decision Support
· Compare source data against CareSwitch migration requirements.
· Identify where provider data does not map cleanly into CareSwitch.
· Prepare clear questions for Implementation Managers to review with providers.
· Support decisions around which active, inactive, archived, historical,
or partial records should migrate.
· Help translate provider data into CareSwitch structures such as services, billing codes, care plans, policies, and related operational records.
Manual Migration Support
· Build or clean structured data files when system exports are unavailable.
· Use spreadsheets, templates, and approved migration formats to prepare data for import.
· Standardize inconsistent provider-supplied data.
· Document manual cleanup decisions and assumptions.
· Escalate unclear or risky data gaps before migration proceeds.
Cross-Functional Coordination
· Partner closely with Implementation Managers throughout the migration phase.
· Serve as the behind-the-scenes migration owner while Implementation Managers lead provider-facing communication.
· Work with Product or Engineering when workflows, scripts, fields, or imports need support.
· Document blockers, risks, and open decisions in the appropriate implementation tracker.
· Support post-import spot checks inside CareSwitch.
Process Documentation & Improvement
· Maintain and improve migration checklists, SOPs, templates, and QA steps.
· Document common migration issues and recurring data patterns.
· Recommend improvements that make migrations faster, cleaner, and more repeatable.
· Help create a scalable assembly line implementation model where migration execution, provider decisions, validation, and training handoffs happen cleanly
What We're Looking For:
1-3+ years of experience in data migration, data operations, implementation support, data entry quality control, technical support, or operations support.
· Robust attention to detail and comfort working with large, imperfect datasets.
· Experience working with spreadsheets, CSV files, exports, templates, or structured data.
· Ability to follow technical playbooks and repeatable workflows.
· Comfort learning and running a Rubie vendor workflow; prior coding experience is not required.
· Strong written communication skills.
· Ability to clearly document issues, assumptions, and next steps.
· Comfortable working offshore with required overlap with U.S.-based teams.
· Self-directed individual contributor who can manage multiple migrations without needing a parade of reminders.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with SaaS implementations.
· Experience supporting data imports, exports, or manual data cleanup projects.
· Familiarity with ticketing or project management tools such as Linear, Jira, HubSpot, Notion, or similar systems.
· Basic understanding of data mapping, field requirements, and QA validation.
