Consultant Medical Coder (EM with MIPS) Location: Chennai, WFO

About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Coding Consultant specializing in Evaluation Management (EM) coding and MIPS (Merit-based Incentive Payment System) . This is an individual contributor role , requiring strong analytical skills, accuracy, and in-depth knowledge of coding guidelines and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform accurate coding for EM services across multiple specialties based on documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM , CPT , and HCPCS coding guidelines.
- Apply MIPS quality measures and ensure proper documentation alignment for reporting.
- Review clinical documentation and provide feedback to providers to improve coding accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct coding audits and identify areas of improvement or risk.
- Stay updated with changes in coding regulations, payer guidelines, and MIPS requirements.
- Maintain productivity and quality benchmarks as defined by the organization.




- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (QA, compliance, and providers) when required.

Required Skills Qualifications
