We are looking for an experienced Bedding Collection Development Consultant to help us develop and strengthen our Top-of-the-Bed and Decorative Bedding product portfolio.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in bedding product development, fabric sourcing, design development and costing, with the ability to translate market trends and buyer expectations into commercially viable collections at competitive price points.

Key Responsibilities

- Collection Development
- Develop and conceptualise bedding collections covering quilts, duvets, comforters, bedspreads, coverlets, bed sheets and decorative bedding.
- Create commercially appealing collections aligned with current market trends and buyer preferences.
- Develop product concepts, design stories, colour palettes, prints, textures and surface details.
- Product & Technical Knowledge
- Possess robust knowledge of bedding construction, quilting techniques, filling materials, fabric compositions and finishing.
- Understand different types of fabrics, weaves, yarns, GSM and their suitability for bedding products.
- Guide product specifications, measurements, construction details and quality parameters.
- Fabric Sourcing & Development
- Identify suitable fabrics, fillings,



trims and accessories based on product requirements and target costs.
- Guide the sourcing and development of innovative fabrics, prints, textures and finishes.
- Work with vendors and manufacturing teams to identify cost-effective sourcing solutions.
- Costing & Commercial Viability
- Develop products within defined target price points and buyer budgets.
- Evaluate product costing, material consumption and construction costs.
- Suggest alternatives to optimise costs without compromising product appeal and quality.
- Sampling & Execution
- Guide the sampling team from concept development to final product approval.
- Review samples and recommend improvements in design, construction, finishing and commercial viability.
- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, design and production teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Market & Trend Understanding
- Research international bedding trends, colour forecasts, materials and emerging product innovations.
- Understand the requirements of international home textile buyers and retail markets.
- Recommend product ranges that offer a balance between design appeal, functionality and commercial value.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mumbai, Maharashtra
