Role Description The Autocad Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The person in this position will prepare detailed technical drawings and layouts for weighing, bagging, and packaging machines using AutoCAD and related CAD tools. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating mechanical and structural drawings, developing shop drawings for fabrication, and coordinating with engineering and production teams to ensure designs align with specifications and manufacturing standards.

The Autocad

Drafter will review and revise drawings based on feedback, maintain drawing documentation and version control,



and support continuous improvement of design practices. The role may also involve assisting in design reviews, interpreting customer requirements, and ensuring drawings comply with safety and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

- Ability to create precise Technical Drawing and general Drawing documentation for mechanical and industrial equipment.
- Experience preparing Shop Drawings suitable for fabrication and assembly in a manufacturing environment.
- Capability to work with Architectural Drawings and basic Architecture concepts when required for layouts and plant designs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software, with solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, CAD, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and industrial standards.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and production staff.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple drawing revisions, and meet project timelines.
