IIIT Pune invites applications for full time, on-site faculty positions as Assistant Professor under its four-tier flexible faculty structure. The posts are in the Departments of Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Applied Science & Humanities at the Talegaon (Maval) campus, Pune. Two grades are open:

- Assistant Professor, Grade-I (Pay Level 12, AGP ₹8,000): a regular post with one year of probation, followed by regularisation once it is completed satisfactorily.
- Assistant Professor, Grade-II (Pay Level 10, AGP ₹6,000, On Contract): a contractual post that runs for one year at first and can be renewed each year based on performance, up to five years.

Role Description

Faculty members will

- Design and deliver lectures, tutorials and laboratory sessions for B.Tech and M.Tech courses, and develop new courses and labs
- Do high-quality research and publish in reputed, peer-reviewed indexed journals and conferences




- Bring in and run sponsored research and consultancy projects, and build collaborations with industry and academia
- Mentor students, supervise UG and PG projects, and guide Ph.D. scholars
- Develop course materials, design assessments and evaluate students
- Contribute to curriculum development, academic administration, institute committees and outreach
