Job Role

An experienced Data Business Analyst to support a back-office database migration. This person will own the data mapping process translating current datasets used across the firm into the structure and logic of the recent system while working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and sign-off.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end data mapping process, from requirements gathering through validation and vendor sign-off l Collaborate across operations, engineering, product, compliance, and vendor teams to define the source-of-truth for each data element l Produce and maintain mapping documentation, including field-level mappings, value translations, structural differences, known gaps, execution order, and validation criteria l Investigate and resolve data quality issues,



distinguishing between engineering-solvable problems and source-data limitations l Coordinate review sessions with internal stakeholders and external vendors, track open items to closure, and ensure alignment before implementation l Pull data samples and write profiling queries to validate mappings and surface defects prior to handoff

Required skills

data mapping, data migration, or data analysis, ideally within financial services or back-office operations,Strong SQL skills and comfort writing profiling/validation queries l Excellent cross-functional communication skills; able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
