Position Overview The Department of Sports at MIT ADT University is seeking a dedicated, highly skilled, and agile Archery Coach. The successful candidate will design, implement, and direct a competitive archery program for student-athletes. This role focuses on developing individual marksmanship, mental resilience, equipment maintenance, and strategy for university-level tournaments, All India Inter-University championships, and national-level competitions.

Key Responsibilities

- Coaching & Technical Training: Structure and conduct daily training sessions in Recurve and Compound archery techniques, drawing form, aim stability, release mechanics, and mental conditioning.
- Athlete Development: Identify, recruit, and mentor promising student-athletes; tailor training regimes to accommodate beginners, intermediate archers, and elite competitors.
- Tournament Preparation: Prepare team members for Inter-College, Inter-University, West Zone, and National Archery Championships. Oversee logistics, equipment setup, and on-field strategy during events.
- Safety & Range Management: Enforce strict safety protocols on the archery range at all times, maintaining target butts, range flags, safety netting, and shooting lines according to official standards.
- Equipment Maintenance & Tuning: Assist athletes with bow assembly,



string making, arrow fletching, tuning (paper tuning, bare-shaft tuning), and sight alignment.
- Administrative Duties: Track athlete performance metrics, attendance, and progress logs; assist the Director of Physical Education with budget planning, equipment requisition, and event organization.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or any discipline. Diploma in Sports Coaching from NS NIS (Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of coaching experience at a recognized university, state association, sports academy, or national level.
- Achievement Record: Proven track record of competing or coaching athletes at the State, National, or Inter-University levels.
- Certifications: Certification from Archery Association of India (AAI) or World Archery is highly advantageous. Valid First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth technical knowledge of equipment geometry, tuning methodologies, and rules governing target archery (WA/AAI/AIU regulations).
