PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Title : Tech Application Lead, MP&A;

Department : Supply Chain

PURPOSE/GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Tech Application Lead will provide functional and technical leadership for Merchandise Planning & Allocation (MP&A;) applications, supporting retail planning capabilities across the enterprise. This individual contributor will partner with business stakeholders, technology teams and implementation partners to design, implement and improve planning solutions, with a focus on Blue Yonder or o9 platforms. The role combines hands-on implementation expertise with ownership of solution delivery, application stability and continuous improvement.

The lead will mentor team members and collaborate with partners across Bangalore and the US.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Lead solution delivery across multiple initiatives, from requirements and blueprinting through design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment and hypercare.
- Act as a subject matter expert for one or more retail planning capabilities, including merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, demand forecasting, allocation, replenishment and deployment.
- Facilitate workshops with business users and translate requirements into solution designs, functional specifications, configuration and actionable delivery plans.
- Provide hands-on leadership for Blue Yonder or o9 planning solutions; assess configuration options, explain trade-offs and align solutions with business processes and enterprise standards.
- Partner with integration, data, infrastructure and application teams to design and troubleshoot data flows between planning platforms and upstream and downstream systems, including ERP, product and master data, and reporting platforms.
- Lead or support data mapping, migration, reconciliation and validation; analyze large data sets to identify issues,



risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate system integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, cutover, go-live and hypercare; establish explicit acceptance criteria and readiness plans.
- Own or support incident, problem and change management, including root cause analysis, operational documentation and transition to support teams.
- Manage scope, dependencies, delivery risks and milestones; communicate progress and decisions clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
- Mentor team members, review deliverables and guide implementation partners; influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.

- Partner with business and technology leaders to identify opportunities to simplify planning processes and improve solution adoption, efficiency and decision-making.
- Contribute domain and platform expertise to the MP&A; roadmap, evaluate solution options and develop team capability.

- Support business readiness, training, knowledge transfer and adoption for new capabilities and process changes.
- Build stakeholder alignment and communicate complex concepts in clear, practical terms.

Relationship Management

- Build trusted relationships with retail business partners, vendors and cross-functional technology teams across regions.
- Listen carefully, manage expectations and resolve competing priorities constructively, including under pressure.





JOB SPECIFICATIONS (Qualification & Job Experience)

Education, Skill and Work Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, business or a related field; MCA or MBA is an advantage.
- 8–10 years of relevant experience in application consulting, implementation or solution delivery, including experience leading workstreams or mentoring delivery teams.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience implementing planning applications for retail clients or retail organizations.
- Hands-on consulting or implementation experience with Blue Yonder (including JDA) or o9 retail planning solutions; experience with either platform is acceptable.
- Experience across at least one end-to-end implementation lifecycle, including blueprinting, configuration, testing and go-live; able to explain individual contributions and outcomes.
- Solid knowledge of at least one retail planning process: merchandise financial planning, assortment planning, allocation, replenishment, demand forecasting or deployment.
- Experience with application integration, data mapping and interfaces between planning solutions and enterprise systems; familiarity with ERP and retail master data is valuable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large data sets, prioritize risks and simplify complex business and technical issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations; working knowledge of SQL Server or MySQL and SQL, T-SQL, MDX or similar languages is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills; experience working in a global or onshore/offshore delivery model is preferred.
- Certifications in retail planning, supply chain planning, Blue Yonder, o9 are desirable.
