We are looking for an exceptional, hands-on Senior Android Developer for an intensive 2-month high-impact contract project . As a senior expert, you will join our core engineering team on-site to drive critical feature delivery, refactor application architecture, and lead performance optimization efforts.

This role requires someone who knows Android development inside and out from legacy code maintenance to cutting-edge native frameworks, Jetpack Compose, Kotlin Coroutines/Flow, and modern architecture patterns.

Position Details

- Role: Senior Android Developer
- Employment Type: Temporary / Contract (2 Months)
- Location: On-Site (Rethibowli, Hyderabad office)
- Work Schedule: Full-time, In office (Monday – Friday)
- Experience Required: 6+ Years of Android Native Development

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End Execution: Drive rapid development and integration of complex Android app features from architecture to execution.
- Modernization & Refactoring: Architect scalable UI using Jetpack Compose while maintaining or refactoring legacy XML layouts where necessary.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize app performance, lower cold/warm start times, improve frame rates, eliminate memory leaks, and decrease APK/AAB size.
- Clean Architecture Implementation: Maintain clean separation of layers using MVVM / MVI architecture , Kotlin Coroutines , StateFlow , and Hilt/Koin for dependency injection.
- API & Data Layer Integration: Build robust offline-first capabilities using Room Database , DataStore , and efficient REST/GraphQL/WebSockets network calls via Retrofit / Ktor .
- Quality & CI/CD: Write clean, modular, and unit-tested code; assist with continuous integration pipelines, automated builds, and release deployments on Google Play Console.
- On-Site Collaboration: Work side-by-side with product managers, QA engineers,



and backend teams in our office to unblock deliverables and meet aggressive deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Technical Skills

- Kotlin Mastery: Expert proficiency in Kotlin, including Advanced Coroutines, Reactive Streams (Flow/StateFlow/SharedFlow), and functional programming patterns.
- UI Frameworks: Advanced hands-on experience in Jetpack Compose (custom layouts, side-effects, animations, custom themes) alongside classic XML/View-based UI system.
- Architecture: Deep knowledge of MVVM / MVI , Clean Architecture, Unidirectional Data Flow (UDF), and Multi-Module architecture setups.
- Dependency Injection: Proven hands-on experience with Hilt or Dagger 2 (or lightweight alternatives like Koin ).
- Jetpack Suite: Expertise across Android Jetpack components (ViewModel, Navigation Component, Room DB, WorkManager, DataStore).
- Networking & Data: Deep understanding of Retrofit, Ktor Client, OkHttp, Protocol Buffers, and WebSockets.
- Debugging & Profiling: Advanced proficiency with Android Studio Profiler (CPU, Memory, Network, Energy), LeakCanary, and System Trace.

Experience & Attributes

- 6+ years of dedicated native Android app development experience.
- Proven track record of publishing and maintaining high-performance apps on the Google Play Store .
- Strong understanding of Android OS internals, security, memory management, background services, and battery usage guidelines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight sprint cycles.
- 100% On-Site availability for the entire 2-month contract duration.

Bonus / Preferred Skills

- Exposure to Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) shared codebases.
- Experience with on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit / MediaPipe / Gemini Nano).
- Experience integrating hardware APIs (Bluetooth LE, CameraX, NFC, or location services).
- Prior contract or sprint-focused experience delivering critical milestone-based deliverables on short timelines.
