Role Description The Managing Director role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune District. The Managing Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, setting business objectives, and overseeing all operational, financial, and commercial activities of MS Packaging Pvt Ltd. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing production and supply chain operations, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and safety requirements. The role involves managing key client relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and driving business development and profitability. The Managing Director will lead and mentor senior managers, establish performance targets, manage budgets and resource allocation, and report to the board or owners on business performance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications





- Demonstrated experience in senior leadership or general management roles, preferably in manufacturing, packaging, or related industries, with strong business acumen and strategic planning capabilities.
- Proficiency in operations management, including production planning, process optimization, quality control, and supply chain coordination to ensure effective and reliable service delivery.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and understanding of P&L; responsibility to support sustainable growth and profitability.
- Experience in sales, marketing, and customer relationship management, with the ability to develop new business, negotiate contracts, and maintain long-term client partnerships.
- Effective people leadership skills, including team building, performance management, conflict resolution, and the ability to foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and accountability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders, clients, regulators, and internal teams.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and health and safety practices applicable to manufacturing and packaging operations.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Proven ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment, make informed decisions under pressure, and adapt to changing market and operational conditions.
