Experience Required: Minimum 2-3 Years.

Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.

Certification: CSWIP Certification Preferred

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and qualified welding engineer to join our team at Wada, Maharashtra. The ideal candidate should possess robust technical expertise in welding processes, welding quality control, inspection activities, and preparation of welding documentation. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring welding operations comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation and qualification of WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), PQR (Procedure Qualification Record), WOPQ, and WPQ (Welder Performance Qualification).
- Monitor and control welding activities as per approved procedures and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with welding codes, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Perform welding inspections and coordinate with quality assurance teams.
- Knowledge and supervision of heat treatment processes and their controls.
- Calibration, maintenance, and control of welding equipment and instruments.
- Review welding consumables and ensure proper storage, handling, and traceability.
- Analyse welding defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with production, quality,



and project teams to ensure smooth execution of welding activities.
- Maintain welding records, reports, and documentation.
- Support audits, client inspections, and third-party inspections.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of various welding processes and fabrication practices.
- Expertise in preparation of WPS, PQR, WOPQ, and WPQ.
- Good understanding of heat treatment & process control.
- Knowledge of Calibration and Control of Welding Equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and reporting abilities.

Certifications & Technical Requirements

- CSWIP Certification (Preferred).
- NDE Level II Certification in:

- PT (Penetrant Testing)

- RT (Radiographic Testing)

- UT (Ultrasonic Testing)

- MPT (Magnetic Particle Testing)

Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in welding engineering, fabrication, inspection, and quality control activities.
