Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Weir Engineer with a strong background in irrigation and hydraulic structure projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising and executing weir construction activities, ensuring quality standards, project timelines, technical specifications and safety compliance.

Role & responsibilities

1. Supervise and manage day-to-day construction activities related to weir and hydraulic structures.
2. Oversee foundation excavation, cofferdam construction, dewatering and concreting activities.
3. Ensure proper execution of upstream and downstream structures, cut-off walls, aprons and stilling basins.
4. Monitor reinforcement, shuttering, concrete pouring and curing activities.
5. Check drawings, technical specifications and construction methodologies before execution.
6. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, surveyors and project management teams.
7. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
8. Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
9. Manage site manpower,



construction materials and equipment requirements.
10. Prepare daily progress reports, site records and measurement documentation.
11. Identify site issues related to seepage, foundation stability and water management and coordinate corrective actions.
12. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality control standards at the project site.

13. Experience in the construction of hydraulic structures and expertise in weirs and canal systems. Preferred candidate profile :-

- Experience in irrigation,weir ,canal and structural works.
- Diploma/Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering .
- Positive knowledge of civil construction, execution, and site management.
- Exposure to canal, weir, or dam projects will be highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of contractor billing, BOQ, and quantity surveying.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong team handling and coordination skills .
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
